Our Valuers
Whether you require a residential property valuer, industrial property valuer or commercial property valuer, our experienced and highly trained property valuers can readily explain every aspect of the property valuation process. Each of our property valuers is a senior property valuer, and has been qualified for over 20 years.
Property valuers with SLR Valuations maintain the necessary certification and registration with the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland, to be Licensed Property Valuers to undertake property valuations in Queensland.
Professional Registration & Membership
Our valuers are Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Chartered Valuation Surveyors, one of the highest qualifications for property valuers in Australia, and RICS Registered Valuers under the RICS Valuer Registration scheme. Founded in 1868, RICS is also the leading international professional representative body for the property valuation industry.
Each property valuer is subject to RICS regulatory framework for valuers including RICS Valuation - Global Standards (Red Book) and the RICS code of ethics, Rules of Conduct, and follow the International Valuations Standards (IVS) developed by the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC).
Property Valuer Registration in Queensland
Each property valuer with SLR Valuations is a Registered Property Valuer with the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland (VRBQ). Like RICS, the VRBQ has a regulatory framework for valuers, but which specifically pertains to the registration and professional conduct of property valuers in Queensland.
Though it is widely advertised that a property valuer is a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV), to carry out property valuations in Queensland (and in other states of Australia), this is just one professional body including property valuers, and another pathway to becoming a Registered Property Valuer. Accreditation of property valuers who have chosen to become Chartered Valuations Surveyors with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has also long been recognised.
Our valuers are therefore subject to both the VRBQ and RICS regulatory frameworks for property valuers.
